Camp H.M. Smith is in Halawa Heights, above Aiea, on about 220 acres. It’s the headquarters of U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM), Special Operations Command Pacific and Marine Forces Pacific.

For 2026, Oahu BAH is $3,333 a month for E-1 through E-4 with dependents, $3,663 for an E-5, $3,912 for an E-6 and $4,428 for an O-3. Higher grades get more: $4,737 for an O-4, $4,959 for an O-5 and $5,001 for an O-6 with dependents. Aiea’s average asking rent was about $2,700 in October 2026, though family-size houses rent for more.
