Upcountry Maui
Located on the windward side of Maui, Upcountry is a rural area that offers some of the most stunning scenery in Hawaii. The region includes Kula and Haleakala districts. It has large areas of farmland and pastures with cattle ranches, sugar cane fields, macadamia nut production facilities, coffee plantations and pineapple farms.
In addition to its natural beauty, Upcountry is home to several noteworthy resorts such as the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka’upulehu which overlooks Keauhou Bay on one side and Waikoloa Beach Resort on another. Nearby attractions include Puu Kukui Heiau (Temple), Omao Caves Archeological Site (Ruins).
